The New Year has arrived and if you are anything like me you have had a wonderful Christmas eating and being merry. But you have put on a few pounds over the festive season. Healthy Nutrition took a holiday and the mince pies were delicious.

Then whilst still nursing a hang over, it was back to Bootcamp again. Whilst it is wonderful to be exercising outside and catching up with all the team. What is the best way for me to shift those pounds?

Quoting the nutritional biochemist Shawn M. Talbott, PhD “You can’t out-exercise a bad diet,”. As a rule of thumb, weight loss is generally 75 % Healthy Nutrition (dare I say the word Diet) and 25 % exercise. You can lose weight with diet alone, but exercise is an important component.
